yeah, I had to adapt a little midstream. Currently running a MP PCM on the 318, I have a MP PCM from a 94-95 360 Ram that will be used once it is all put back together. Only problem I ran into with it is the 94+ Rams had a tranny temp sensor. 92-93 did not, so it trips a code for the tranny temp but does not seem to affect driveability. Will know more later.

Plugs, wires, cap, thats a start. Check your fuel pressure. When I had the 3.9L I never got over 15mpg, kinda bad for a little truck, but I dunno. I put in the 360 and its better, not sure exactly what it is yet, but I fill up less. Looks like you have quite a few miles on it, and a newer motor always gets better mileage.

Mine is a Mopar PCM, but I have not really tested it. I put it on the 318 just to see if it would run, and it threw a code for tranny temp. Once I get the engine in I'll test it in more detail. I'm really not worried too much, as I plan on bilding and installing a Megasquirt system on the truck by the end of the year.

A tach cluster has two plugs.

3.9 to a 318
Motor (92-00) (Dakota, Durango, Dodgevan, Dodge Ram, Grand Cherokee)
Flexplate (Proper year, because the bolt pattern changed in 96)
Add two injector wires ( I can give you more detail on that if you can't figure it out)
V8 computer (Several years and vehicles will work)
V8 throttle body (Bigger) Sensors are the same (You have to match a similar year because at some time they changes the way the linkage hooked up. (92-93) (94 up) I think is how it works, whatever year your truck is.
V8 Manifolds of headers
Oil Pan (Have to use a Dakota style (Smaller Sump) The Dodge Rams have a bigger sump and it wont clear the crossmember.
V6 Springs will work fine, just a personal preference on ride heighth and stiffness
You can use the V6 trans, but there is a place on the block near the starter on 96 up engines that you would have to grind off if you use a V6 Trans. 92-95 motors had this place milled at an angle. In 96 they drilled the blocks a little different so they left the spot square so it would sit in a
factory assembly line stand easier. Its no big deal, if you use a 96 up block then take a grinder to it to allow the starter to bolt up on a V6 trans. If you get the V8 trans it wont be a problem, just another part to get.
V8 fan shroud, or just cut yours back about 4-5 inches.
V8 tranny lines, they are longer in the front before they bend. (Just personal preference, the V6 lines will just sit under the oil pan, but if you want to change them then you better do it with the motor out.)
V8 distributer (92-97 will plug up from the above listed vehicles, The weights are different inside between years, but any of them will work.) (98 up) depending on the year of your truck.
V8 radiator hoses, they are curved a little different or just cut yours back.
V8 Fuel Rail and two more injectors. (19 pounders were stock in pretty much all years)

Im probably missing something, but thats all I can recall now.
