Welcome
31 in tires should fit fine on a 4x4
Late style rims are a problem for the 2wd, but I will let someone else explain it for ya on the 4x4 (not as difficult).
Any motor swap stuff related to 92 up V6 to V8 swap (especially with an AUTO trans) then I will claim to know what I'm talking about. 318 or 360 will bolt up fine. I can give you pretty much any info you would need to do the swap.

OH, it will fit, and a big difference it is from a V6. Even just a stock 360! Let me know if you have any questions about doing the swap, I can tell you any problems that you might run into. Shoot me an e-mail or post anything you wanna know, I'm willing to give you any info I have.

I am in the process of putting a 360 in my 92, which currently has 191k mile 318 in it. The engine is just about complete, I just need a couple odds and ends left to finish the swap. Hoping to get it done next month, money permitting.

92 318 - owned since new. Using the stock 518 tranny, was rebuilt a couple years ago. Engine going in is a 2000 Durango 360. Swapped back to the pre-2000 balancer so I could use my underdrive pulleys. Came with the flexplate, but I had to get a different TQ since they changed the bolt pattern and balancing around 96/97. I wanted to move up to a 2400 stall anyway. Engine has about 30k miles on it. Gonna have a host of other goodies in it too! Nothing over the top, but it will be a definite kick in the pants over the old mill.

Ok sounds good, the motor is balenced by the flexplate. Thats what I was wondering if you relized the bolt pattern change. I take it you bought a 90 degree bolt pattern torque converter. 96 up. Only other thing to check is the torque converter snout. Early 500 trannys had notches cut in the torque converter snout and late model ones have flat spots milled oposite eachother on the snout. I dunno about 518's. I think they were always notched, but I'm not positive because I'm running a 500 trans and I didnt really pay much attention to the 518.
A 92 318 computer will run the 360 perfect, but you may prefer one from a 94 or 95 dodge ram with a 360. They also work, and for gas mileage it seemed to work a little better. If not then an upgraded ECU also works great. Good Luck.
