Does it go to the battery terminal on the starter, or the block?
But it could be to the battery terminal on the starter; it would then go to the battery.
That little red wire is ALSO needed to start; but that's not your battery connection.
Again - you NEED to get the proper factory service manual; read the wiring diagrams; and understand them.
