1993 3.9L v6 starter motor wiring
Hello I have a question regarding this Black battery cable that comes from the PowerDistributionCenter. Isn’t it suppose to go A1 6RD terminal on the starter motor??? Because it’s unhooked currently going to nothin and I’m pretty sure it’s why I have no power in the cab either… Any help is appreciated thanks
This is one of those things you really need the 1993 book for, if you have a 1993.
I've attached the wiring diagrams.
There's two of those splices; one black, one natural.
See the attached pages from the 1993 FSM.
Also, that's either going to the PDC, or the battery, if it's black; if it's open there (i.e., only one connector), no, you won't have power.
I'll bet the positive cable was replaced and that end wasn't on the new one. So do a 6ga or whatever butt connector, or solder the two wires and heatshrink them (I'd go for solder and heatshrink, but you'll probably need a propane torch to solder that with ... )

I don't know - it goes to the POSITIVE battery wire.
What color is that one?
(Remember, if you're not the very first original owner, no telling what OTHER folks have done in the past ...)
But I do see a bare black wire there, where does it go?
And that one small red wire into the battery terminal - Dude, study up on electricity sometimes. That ain't enough to even think about running the starter motor! 6ga is pushing too small, much less that super wimpy one that just goes to the starter relay.
Get you a 1993 factory service manual. SOONEST.
And stop and think about it. There's quite a bit of energy stored up in a 650AH 12V battery; due to outgassing, if you screw it up, you CAN end up with a bomb there (spark hydrogen gas and ... look up Hindenberg sometimes.)
