Lift/leveling kit 3" - Different shocks?
Hi to all,
I will change the front suspension and while I am at it, why not put new shocks. (because they are very old from the previous owner)
The thing is I also plan to lift/level it with an eBay kit (e.g. https://www.ebay.com/itm/251938791805) real soon. I would like to go to 3".
My questions are:
1) Should I change the front and back shocks for a better ride?
2) If so, what do you recommend?
3) How do I go for the length, etc?
4) Anyone did it and can share a bit?
Thank you!

Yes, I'd change the shocks.
With that much lift, I'd consider the Ranchos with 3" lift ... from their catalog for a 97-99, they're either RS55136 or RS5136 for the front, and RS5010 for the rear.
I say that because they list the same numbers for a 0"-1" lift as RockAuto shows for a 1988 ... so I presume (and that's JUST a presumption!) that the 3" lift shocks will also fit.
Your truck IS 4WD, right? Because that kit, and those shocks, won't work on a 2WD.
