Trans fluid leak
I have a new problem with my 95 5.2L automatic. When I park it, it loses about 1/8 of a cup of transmission fluid, leaking from the bottom of the bell housing/dust plate area. Last time I drove it, I noticed that when shifting from 2 to 3, the engine reved up to about 3500 before it would shift. The truck rpm, at idle drops to zero and the engine dies.
It sounds like the most likely culprit could be the torque converter or the oil pump seal.Any ideas?
Also I think the transmission is a 46RH. Am I right?

The 1995 5.2 should be a 46RH yes.
I'll bet the front pump seal is leaking.
I'd plan on a rebuild of it soon.
Before you panic on it - take a look at the transmissionbench.com videos on the 46RE/46RH on YouTube. (They also sell the videos on a thumb drive for you.)
See if you think you can do it yourself, then consider doing your own rebuild.

Thanks Ralph. I started pulling the transmission today. I should have it out tomorrow morning. I ordered the video on a thumb drive. So far it’s going well. All I have left to do is unbolt the mount, remove the cross member and unbolt the transmission from the motor.
And then mop up all the transmission fluid left over
If you do rebuild - I have found what strikes me as a good deal on ATF+4, Genuine Mopar, on Amazon. AmazonSmile: Mopar Automatic Transmission Fluid ATF+4 - 5 Liter (1.3 Gallon) 3 Pack: Automotive
Also, take this time to replace the cooling lines, and put a good transmission cooler in front.
If you have one, good, but replace it if it's stacked plate - those things are murder to properly flush, and last thing you want is for the current build to take out the repair job
I run with a Hayden 679 cooler on my 1988.
