So I have switched power and power going to regulator, and new alternator installed, have regulator grounded from alternator to fender with paint sanded and bare metal showing, I also ran a ground from the alternator to the battery, with truck running I am only getting battery voltage at the back of the alternator and while running battery still isn't charging, what could be the issue?

Are you getting anything to the field windings on the alternator?

Are those the 2 studs on the back of the alternator? If so then all it's getting is whatever the battery voltage is at the time

If they are getting power, the alternator *should* be working.... Have you tested the alternator itself?

I haven't tested the new one yet, but with the old one I tested 3-4 times and each time it said it was good, I put a 120 amp alternator in it to see if that changed anything but it didn't

I would suspect you have the wiring not-quite-right somewhere......
