Default 1993 dakota sway bar

199

Bracket and bushing completely missing
4×4 5.2L V8
Sway Bar has no end links . It only has another bracket and bushing at each end near the control arm . Just bought the truck runs great but trying to get it road safe and noticed an end bracket and bushing is COMPLETELY missing on the drivers side end. Am I correct to say this model does not have end links but only 4 sets of bushing and bracket.
THANK YOU
Jenny

Look at the '95 Field Service Manual in the 1st Gen sticky section. You can download it. The '95 FSM should apply to your '93.

Maybe a closer look.

And yes, I'd take care of the missing bracket/bushing. Do the bushings look like this? https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...dn4sJtLlHghp3X

Thank you so much. I see now the end bushings are round and the center bushings are semi circle with one flat side

Do you have a 93 also

Yes, but I have rear wheel drive. My sway bar has different end links. Your 4x4 has the bushings. Not sure how easy it will be to find the bracket you said is missing. You can still buy the bushings no problem. If it were me, I'd try and hunt down that bracket first. Might have to settle for a boneyard but see what you can do online. Sometimes you can find stuff like that on Ebay...typically used. I know the Energy Suspension kit does not have the bracket. I'd change out all four bushings. Here is the ES kit if you want to go with poly bushings. You may have to do some measuring to make sure it fits. There's instructions on the link.

Your PM disappeared before I could read it.

I have started the search for the end bracket / clamp . I see it will be a bit of a scavenger hunt . I tried ebay and I'll try salvage yards soon . Definitely want to change all bushings and I understand I need to check size . Thank you so much

While hunting, check car-part.com and hollanderparts.com for possibly suppliers.

Those are boneyard aggregators; they don't control the yards, so caveat emptor.

Good deal! Congrats!

Keep his name and number handy. Might not be the last part you need.
