92 dakota rebuild, fuel system?
I'm working on my dad's 1992 dakota 4x4 with 5.2 ltr. Magnum, auto trans. He bought the truck brand new, put a reman engine in it and had issues with it. It was involved in a minor fender bender and sat for the last 7 yrs. My dad and I are both mechanically inclined and and have been in the field for all our lives. Anyway we rebuilt the engine and tranny, replaced fuel pump, cleaned out the lines and so forth. I'm wanting to know if there is a way I can prime the fuel system without having to cycle the ignition and crank the engine to run the pump
thanks, I tried that but the ASD (auto shutdown relay) kicks it off? Any other thoughts or ideas would be great. I will try it again. Might have jumped the wrong pin

Does your relay have a map on it?
Just want to give you an update on my issue. Through some testing and so forth, found out that the brand new fuel pump was bad. But on a plus side I was able to get it started as I had a high pressure pump from a aftermarket efi system. And it's alive !! Thanks everyone for the tips and I am glad to be part of this forum
