Default Emissions purge valve

Has anyone got any idea why some have three connections and some only have 2? The rock auto page shows both and the MOPAR version only has 2 connections but my 94 has a 3 connection purge valve.
The code came back again after having erased it so I decided to pull the trigger on changing it out.

Got new vale put it in and filled up. I hope it has an effect on mileage. Still have a code 62 which I suspect is due to having a refurbed PCM because I never had that code before changing it out
Here's the code 62 "EMR Miles Not Stored (Unsuccessful attempt to update the EMR (Emissions Maintenance Required) mileage in the PCM)"

If that doesn't set the check engine lite, I would just ignore it.

Next time I hook up the MT2500 I'll try to erase it. I think the pair of them is what triggered the light. I've driven it 12 miles and there is no light now.

The new purge valve seems to have solved a longstanding problem. I have mentioned it before that when I start I get a strong gas smell from the exhaust. Turns out the new valve seems to have solved that. The exhaust smells normal now and there is no lingering fresh gas smell. So apparently the evap canister wasn't able to vent into the intake and it was coming out the tail pipe.
