Default oil seal on crankshaft sensor

Hi Guys,
I hope somebody help me. I'm replacing the crankcase position sensor on a 1995 dodge dakota 3.9 manual. the oil seal has deteriorated so bad its in 4 pcs. Could somebody suggest where I can buy a new one. The old one was made of rubber and oval shaped to the fit the crankcase position sensor, and a sealing lip on to fit the opening in the rear on of head on engine.
TJohn

It's just a dust seal. No oil in there. It probably serves as a vibration damper too though.... If the dealer can't get ya one, search on the part number

Just a dust seal? It was covered in oil, and the CMK was too. From parts mgr it was alright to be oily.
What is the part number?

There shouldn't be any oil down there. You have a leak somewhere.

I couldn't find the part number. Can't find a diagram that even shows it.

Probably a leaky valve cover gasket.

Thanks Guys,
The crankcase sensor was covered in oil, was probably vaule cover gasket leaking.
I cleaned the oil off and when i get a new seal put it back together and see if it runs.
Wish me luck !!

The part number is 52117709, but good luck finding one new. It's been discontinued for quite some time. Here is another thread that talks about it here - https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...r-grommet.html
