Default Fuel pump not always coming on

My 93 Dakota has been having problems with the fuel pump not always coming on. It will work for awhile and then stop. I've changed the fuel pump relay, fuel pump and filter, tested the fuel pump relay and asd relay and their good but it comes on when I bypass them. All the wires are good and I cleaned all my grounds and still have the same problem

Are you saying when it stops working you can bypass the relays and it will work?

Yes but not with everything plugged in. My uncle who is a mechanic has been helping me but we're stumped

Some ideas I have;
1. the wires aren't "good".
2. one of the new parts is bad off the shelf.
3. Something in the PDC where the relay plugs in is failing intermittently.

Edit- What is the symptom when it cuts out? Are you driving it? or is it sitting in its parking spot when this happens?

Sounds like you checked the relays, fuses, etc. on my ‘93 we had the same issue. Turned out to be a three wire splice that corroded through in the harness roughly 1.5 feet behind the fuse box under the hood. The factory took these three wires and heat crimped them with no further protection so they will corrode and disconnect eventually. Hope this helps.

I always wait for this splice to rear its ugly head on my '93. It hasn't happened yet. I suspect it helps that my truck is garage kept, I'm in the south, and my wire harnesses are wrapped with harness tape.
