Snap-On MT2500.... It will actually do OBDI. You can get 'em on ebay, and they are only an arm and one leg.

If you have a Chrysler product with fuel injection built before 1996, you have a built in reader. Do the key dance and watch your check engine light (CEL). Do not bump the starter, but turn the key on, then off, then on, then off, then on, and leave it on the third time. The CEL will start to flash. Usually it will flash once, then twice. That is code 12. It means the battery has been disconnected in the last 50-100 key starts. 5 flashes followed by 5 more is code 55 and means end of testing. Any other codes will indicate a code. 31 perhaps would lead to the emissions purge problem.

Currently I am getting code 32 which I know from my manual is EGR Valve system but lately it has thrown so many different codes that I have been taking care of them but I have screwed up a few different times on counting the flashes and end up with the wrong number so I just thought it might be easier if I had a code reader as for the EGR valve system it's gonna have to wait because I'm in Iowa and it hasn't exactly been very warm lately I thank you very much for the response though I appreciate it very much and that's what I love about this forum if I can't figure it out anymore I just think to myself well I reckon that will go on the forum
