Default 1991 Trim Logos

I have a 1991 Dakota with the wide body trim with the DAKOTA and 4X4 logos on the trim. One of the door trim pieces is off and I can't figure out what holds the logos on to the trim piece

. They have oblong hollow tubes on the back that stick through holes in the trim but what keeps them there?

That logo is the trim piece. Is there something plastic and probably black still stuck to the truck where that logo goes? That is the backing of the trim piece. I would expect it is stuck on the backing by adhesive since the backing is stuck to the truck by adhesive.

From the factory, there is a double sided adhesive piece that is shaped like the part. You can use double sided emblem tape to reinstall them. Not quite as neat but trimming with a razor blade can get you close.

Check with your local body shops. They may have some, or, know where you can get them.

Good advice. I visited a local body shop for paint color information. The owner was very helpful and glad to help me. He knew more than the company I was buying the paint from.
