New to the forum, but I hope to find some expertise! I have a one owner 1995 Dodge Dakota with speedometer issues. After a start and about 2 miles, the speedo starts to bounce around and then falls to 0. Odometer stops as well. Thought it was the speed sensor on the 5 speed manual transmission. Two sensors later, no change. Checked ground to the cluster and the power with all being good. Gauges work too. Figured it was the cluster, but realized that when the speedometer quits, the idle becomes unstable too almost stalling and recovering when the clutch is in. When the speedo is working the idle is rock solid with AC on or off! Any thoughts of where to look next? This is a nice rust free truck and the problem is driving me crazy!
