Lightbulb Taillight issue

My tail light is out just got my 95 ext cab like 1 month ago and my tail light is going out again and agin I have replaced the light and put a new one in 1 time and if I take out the housing and put it pack in it works assuming it’s a loose wire or something but a, unsure as this is my first car

Welcome to DF! Everyone has to start somewhere.

There should be a ground wire running to the body somewhere right in the vicinity of the housing... check that first. If that doesn't help, does your truck have the factory trailer harness? If so, those were notorious for being crappy connections where the trailer harness hits the main rear harness.

Did you find the grounds? I know there is one from the harness on the rear license plate lights on my 94.

Gotta be a bad connection somewhere... or a bad ground.

There is a ground that goes and bolts just to the frame and I haven’t traced it yet but I believe that’s the ground and it’s fine but the blinker runs off the same ground I believe so it shouldn’t be the ground

How big of a pain would that be to trace and fix or should I just bring it somewhere

Might have a look at the connector itself then. See what the contacts look like. (loose ones might be problematic...) I have also seen bulbs with a broken filament, that if you tilt it just right, the filament makes contact again, and works. At least, for a little while.

so I tested it last night I am not getting power to the lights I do believe it to be a switch but there isn’t a power source for each filament that could be loose correct
