Looking to repair/rebuild the HVAC control unit for my '93 Dakota. It's almost impossible to find parts quickly accessible in Saskatchewan and the temperature has plummeted recently. Has anyone ever done a rebuild on one or know of anywhere local to Regina to have one rebuilt? The Haynes doesn't have a rebuild diagram for that module specifically, and it's been narrowed down to the climate control unit being the last possibility.

**UPDATE** I found a donor truck, finally!! I also learned that the Climate control modules can be "rebuilt" but it needs to be done with diligence.

I appreciate the help everyone!

So far as I know, that's one of those "no user serviceable parts inside" things..... The entire thing is replaced, as opposed to repaired.....

What problem are you having??

The fan control switch will not engage the blower at all. The wiring up to the control is there but a nib snapped off somewhere inside and it just free floats in there now.

Ouch, ok, yeah, that's gonna be a problem.

You could try car-part.com, and see if you can locate one. When you find a yard that has one, CALL them, don't bother with the email contact form, it seldom works...... Don't know how effective the site is for our northern neighbors though, but, worth a shot....

If you find one in the states, but they won't ship to you, lemme know, we can likely figger somethin' out.
