Hey, I got a 88 Dakota Sport, I'm in the middle of a transmission rebuild. I was trying to use the Dorman Help Bushing set but they are so stiff that I'm fighting with them and they are breaking, and I'm not buying another set. Does anyone knows if the newer style transfer case shift linkage bushings like

on Amazon will work with my truck.

 

I can't answer your question but when you end up with another bushing try putting it into hot water for a few minutes and see if that softens it up. And a little petroleum jelly is also helpful when squeezing parts together.

 

So a bushing for a Ram 1500 does not work on old 88 Dakota linkages. Will the bushings for a Jeep with an NP231 work on my truck.
