thank you
was just wondering because I read different things where it said part number might be the same but there is a difference between the different year models do to different components in the different models like relays and things
Just my opinion and have been wrong before ... 1993 had some very basic things the computer controlled.
The 1993 - 1995 computers were very basic ... but it was a time of advancement.
It is very possible that a 1993 ECM will not work in a 1995 ... but a 1995 will work in a 1993.
I also think that for the price, would probably be worth the price of admission to try it.
While there were different modifications and a few things were added between 93-95 .... I think they were backwards compatible ... but again, 93 not work in 95.
By 1996 all bets are off and everything different. .... For $50-$60 I would give it a shot. And try the 1995 ECM in a 1993.
When you open up a ECM on a 1993 Dodge Caravan 3.3 .... these things are so basic.
Just saying, in 1993 they were so basic and crude, pretty sure I'm running a 1994 ECM now in the 1993 ... you get newer and they got more complicated.
Backwards compatible, maybe not forward compatible.
What I understand the cylinder count, transmission type, the fuel delivery system (carb, TBI, or MPI), and smog type (CA or Fed) need to match. If that is the case it will work.
