Default MT 2500 help or hindrance? :-)

Just put the MT2500 on the truck. Everything looks normal except the sync signal. I had this problem when I had the PCM and distributor the truck came to me with. IDK if they were oe or not.
The idle seems to be low. It readss as 800 but it changes. I tested the IAT air flow, it killed the motor. It is supposed to shrink the airflow to minimum necessary not kill it. It is running rich.
When I put the new Distributor in it set at 1 or whatever number I picked. Spec says 0 or +1. Larry at JJ auto (different site where he no longer posts) says -2 or -3 to have the injector fire when the intake valve is opening. But it set wherever I put it w/o moving. The previous one would not sit still between zero and 3 when I set it and came back to check it a few years later it was jumping from -6 to +15. So I replaced it. Now a couple or a few years later I have checked this one. It is jumping from 3 to 14 then 15 back to 3 down to 2 up to 14 15 etc and it just keeps doing that. Any ideas why that might be happening? This is a new to me ecm from a 94 3.9 134K miles.
As for my ABS system it tells me no Communication from the engine bay and from the plug under the steering column. It feels like it is tapping the brakes rapidly when I am going fast and slow down for upcoming lights or traffic. I was hoping I could get it to tell me what is wrong before buying a new module. It doesn't do it at in town speeds.

Sync could be due to sloppy timing chain.....

Isn't there a different cartridge for ABS on the red brick?

The TC is a double roller I put in about 30K ago when I first bought it and did the plenum. The cartridges are a primary to 1999 and a trouble shooter with "expert advice"! I can't find ant RWAL specific cartridge. I did purchase the blue plug hoping to get it to work from under the steering column but no joy. Though it does come on w/o having to plug in the power supply.

If it can do ABS then, it should be in one of the first menus that shows up.... Been a LONG time since I played with a 2500....

Gotta remember though, the 'slop' you see at the distributor, is an accumulation of all the slop in between as well. And even new parts will have a bit.... The question becomes, Does it run good? Adequate power for it's age/mileage? Gas mileage in line with what you expect for the vehicle??

I dials in from both access plugs to read the RWAL. The blue plug under the dash requires several digits from the VIN. But once I click Yes It says no communication, something about the troubleshooter and a bunch of other stuff.

No clue there.... Didn't do much with ABS outside the dealership where I worked, and there, I had all the right tools.....
