Default OBD1, Will it work?

1993 Dodge Dakota LE, 5.2L, A518 Trans, RWD, 190,000 miles, original owner

Is it safe to say the part# for the OBD1 in my 5.2L V8 Magnum will be different than if it were a 4 or 6 cylinder? I ask because I have a boneyard sending me a steering shaft next week and I see he still has the OBD1 on his 1993 truck. If I thought the OBD1 was the same as mine I'd get it but per the picture (below) it looks like he has a 4-cylinder. Please advise...Thanks!

Nope, won't work. ECM's are engine specific......

Struggling with mine right now. From what I understand the PCMs are both engine and transmission specific. 2 or 4 WD doesn't matter, the PCM does not contain any vehicle info like the VIN as later OBD2 PCMs do. As long as cylinder count, transmission type, fuel system (carb, TBI or MPI) and smog type (CA or Fed) match you should be OK. Have also been told that a wrong transmission match will still work (going from auto ECM to manual truck only) but set the CEL which could mess up trying to get a smog check. At least in NV you cannot pass that with the light on regardless of cause. Can you give me contact info for that junkyard? I'd like to get that air cleaner to radiator support duct!
