I do not like how my truck has been sounding/running since the rotor fiasco. It sounds loud like the exhaust is leaking and the motor feels and sounds like air is leaking through valves or something.
I bought walker exhaust again. on RA. I assumed it would all be the same it is not. They had removed the Walker $250 CAT and had one that looked the same as what I had for $161 on clearance. Grabbed it. Grabbed the muffler assuming it would be the same. It is not. The one I had in is a Dynomax 17797. You can't see that til you remove it. I ordered one today. $88 with delivery. Just looked the price to buy is $97 now?!
The $250 CAT is back on RA and the picture for it looks like the one that came to me on clearance. It also has the same part number 56024???
Grabbed a hanger and new clamps too. Ditto the tail pipe. Got everything over the last week and started today to take the other stuff apart.I'm going to try to sell the Davico CAT since I only ran one tank of gas through it. I managed to get the old tail pipe which is in good shape off the muffler so I can send the one I bought back. The new Walker CAT doesn't fit. The end connecting to the Y is bent wrong and will not go on. The rest of the pipe extends back past the end of the tail pipe that connects to the outlet of the muffler. I'm going to take the CAT I cut off, to a shop and see if they can weld it back together. My stick welder is too hot but I did manage to tack the front piece of pipe on and put it in to see and it fit right. Fingers crossed.
Walker 56024 CAT doesn't fit.
Walker 18456 muffler is not the same as I assumed. It is a round tube.
Walker 45333 Pipe/Resonator (tail pipe) is bent pipe with the wrinkles and isn't tapered with the angle cut at the end like the first one I got. Good thing I do not need it.
EDIT- The CAT part is Walker 15042. They still sell the CAT but it is w/o the pipe attached. So it is basically useless to me.
