This is not a new problem, I've been tracking its cause for ahwile lol. Truck will crank and idle like a champ first thing in the morning. Problem is after shutting it off, and going to restart, it cranks and immediately stalls unless I tap the gas for a second and then it catches. Except when it sits for an hour, and then it starts fine. Brand new IAC, MAP, distributor cap, coils, spark plugs, and fuel filter. Any ideas?
*UPDATE*
After installing a new TPS, she's been cranking back up so heres to hoping!
There's a 90% chance your problem is the plenum gasket (belly pan gasket). This is THE signature failure of Dakota/Ram Magnum models from that era.
Ugh man I hope not lol. Im not experienced or confident enough for that.

Plugs are from last year, Autolite I believe? Just installed new IAC, Standard Motors. That one has been fantastic.

Engine will crank back up now since installing TPS Here's to hoping! Lol.
