Default Alternator wiring; front driveshaft

I am assembling a basket case 96 SLT 4x4 5.2 5 spd and have a couple of questions.
Alternator wiring. A black wire with tan stripe and black wire with a blue stripe, both coming off the alternator. I think they are both ground connection, but not sure. Can someone help on this?
Next, I need a front driveshaft. I have one from an auto trans, but it is too long at 28 inches, needs to be 26. Hoping someone here has one for sale.
