Coolant leak on driver side somewhere
Hello there,
I have a question that maybe one of you could help me with, I have a 94 Dakota 4x4 and there is a coolant leak on the left (driver) side of the motor somewhere, I can't really tell where it is coming from it looks like it is under the AC unit. I have replaced the waterpump and the little bypass hose hoping that was it but I still have a leak. Anyone have any ideas?

You may have the style water pump that has a black steel pipe going in the left side of it for a heater hose. There is an O-Ring in there. If its not seated right, it will leak. Check that and you may want to use a little silcone sealant too.
Thanks for the reply, I have actually replaced it and sealed it up and still I just can't tell where it is coming from, almost looks like it may be on the block somewhere. A freeze plug maybe? I wish I had a diagram of the entire cooling system.
UPDATE!!
I have been to the mountain and I have seen the promised land, and I have figured out why my 94 Dakota was leaking coolant. The timing belt cover needed to be replaced.

my buddy had same problem with his timing belt cover, he had to replace it with a new one.
anyways, just look for a reliable dealer that won't charge you with lots of bucks.
