intermittent wiper problem
Have 1993 3.9 Dakota, the intermittent wipers do not work. Wipers work on slow or fast but never stop at bottom of winshield when turned off. Anyone have any suggestions. Truck has 180,000 miles and still going strong.
I have a 91 3,9 that has just started the same problem. I think that its a relay problem in the fuse box b/c the wiper relay on my truck shorted and overheated. I haven't had the time to check it out but I believe this is the problem. It should be located in the fuse box. Mine is an aluminum cylinder. If anyone else has any ideas I"m open for suggestion.
Hello Everyone. I have a first gen Dodge W350 Cummins 4X4. 194,000 km. Just recently the wipers come on for no reason. They do one, maybe two passes and then shut off. When I actually turn them on they work perfectly. I was just wondering if anyone else had the similiar problem. Any info would be appreciated.
New Truck now has 194,000KM
Old truck 600,000KM

Hmm... how does one start a new thread? I think I have this posted under Dakota when it is a full size truck. I thought I had accidently bumped the window washer button on the end of the turn signal lever at first. However, it did continue. I have pulled the fuse.
I was hoping someone on here has had the same problem and could point me in the right direction.

I have heard that it is a grounding problem in some cases. I remember the suggestion was to run a ground wire from the case to the body or engine. But I cant remember where I seen this suggestion. Hope this helps
This can also be a bad wiper motor (well, the park switch on it).
Time to crack out the factory service manual, and follow the troubleshooting chart to verify that the switch does, or does not, work.
