1990 has a throttle body with throttle body injection. The gas squirts through the throttle body LIKE a carb.

1992 was the first year for multiport injection with a throttle body. That means there is an individual injector for each cylinder.

a '94 318 is multiport injection, throttle body injection was on pre magnum ('92 and older if i remember correctly), there should be a 'fuel rail' on each side of the intake manifold and semi under the air cleaner, on each rail should be 4 electriacl connectors, those connectors lead straight to your injectors, in other words 8 cylinders 8 injectors, don't know of any true carbuerated 318 daks. Throttle body injection was no longer an option postmagnum 318
