Default opinions on bodyside trim?

Hey, I was just wondering what everyone thinks about the bodyside trim on dakotas. Mine came off a little in the corner and I think im taking it all off.. I personally like the cleaner look. And one more question for those who have taken the siding off.. what did you use to remove the residue glue that was stuck to the paint. Thanks!

3M adhesive remover works like a charm. get ready to do a little light buffing and waxing when you are done though.

I used a heat gun and went real slow. The pinstrip and the moldings came off no problem. No mess to clean up after. I really didn't have to buff it out since my truck is white and really couldn't tell a difference.

Ended up borrowing this rubber wheel thing its called an "eraser" that can be used with a drill. And it removes the left over two sided tape crap very well.

I have the molding on my '92. I like it as it actually acts like a mud flap and keeps everything the wheels kick up under the bottom line of the molding, so the rest of the body doesn't get hammered.

I agree with JDakota92, the moulding does keep things down. If you want to reapply them, 3M has some double-sided tape that works great.
