Default RE: rear brakes

Have you adjusted the rears?

Jack up the rear and support on jackstands. Remove the access plug from the back of the drum. You will see a star wheel adjuster in there. Use a flat blade screwdriver, or pick up a brake tool kit from the parts store which has a curved tool that works much better. Spin the tire with the parking brake off. Keep rotating the adjuster until you just begin to hear/feel the shoes drag on the drum. Do the same thing to the other wheel. Once done it should be fine.

While you are at it, pull the drums to check the condition of the shoes and the brake wheel cylinder as well. Any cracks in the rubber boot or evidence of leakage and you should replace it. Cheap and easy to do.
