What is this?
Did a tranny filter/fluid change about 2 months ago. Found this sitting in the tranny pan. Needless to say, I was alarmed. Looked everywhere I could in the transmission, but could not find what it broke off of. Had to go on with life, so, completed the filter/fluid change, and she's been running good for the last 2 months, with no sign of any differance.
Just came across the part recently, which reminded me. Any ideas?
1996 Dakota, 4x4, 42RE/A-500ES Transmission, 3.9L V-6, 92,400 miles (91,400 at time of maintenance... yea, I don't drive a lot)
