96 Dakota Air Conditioner
Hi All,
Is there a fuse that controls the air conditioner? I looked in the book and the only reference was to the blowers. My air just stopped being cold and I was hoping for a cheap fix.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Eh.. there is no unqiue fuse for the A/C. The only one that comes close also provides juice to the starter relay, so, yea.
Highly unlikely, but it could be the A/C relay (look in the Power Distribution Center [PDC] which is to the rear of the battery, to identify the relay, look on the bottom of the PDC cover)
Otherwise, it could be a bad high or low pressure switch, electical connections not connectinig, low refrigerant level, etc. etc.

when does your a/c not get cold? Mine just started "not getting cold" once I reack 65 to 70 MPH and I still can't figure it out! I've replaced my clutch cycling switch and it don't help. It's so strange though cuz it freezes me out in town!
I think my problem is the air conditioner clutch. It doesn't spin when the air button is pushed in. I checked the relay and it seems fine. Have to price a clutch now. [:@] Big thanks to Dodgerules86 for suggestions of places to check!!!
No. I haven't found one that's inexpensive yet and I'm sweatin' bullets driving back and forth to work. I'm going to hit a couple more places locally in the Charlotte area. Maybe something will work out. I'll let you know.
