Yea, I heard the mounts are a pain in the ****, but whatever, fix this then break something else. Thats how it goes. And yeah I also need a bunch of front end parts, dodges eat up front ends.

I'm in the process of replacing both motor mounts, both hub and bearing assemblies, and bushings in both upper control arms. Hopefully I'll finish it this weekend. All of these are definitely a pain in the butt. Already did the tie rod end - piece of cake.

Just remember to spray the nuts/bolts with a lot of WD-40 before you try to remove them. Also remember, if you have a 4WD, the motor and front differential are connected together via the motor mounts so you have to support the front differential (as well as the motor) to replace the mounts.

Have fun!

All i am doing right there is a brake stand!!!!! That little joker will roast the tires if you let it. I have BFG radial ta's on it now and still will go up in smoke. If i just stomp it from a stop it wont spin off of the line, because it has no low end torque. If it is raining though it will spin all the way into over drive now that i have the chip. I made a little video on my web site, go check it out.Burnout Video

Nice vid Bad96_3.9, your truck sounds pretty nice too. Anyways, so I'm hearing I have to lift the engine out to get at these mounts, anything particular I should pay special attention too? And should I replace any front end parts while I'm there such as the bushings in the upper control arm? And one more question, how much will these mounts or bushings cost? Thanks!

All i did was loosen up the transmission mount and list it up enough to get the new mounts in. The bolt are hard to get to but that is about it.

K well I replaced the mounts, both were broken lol. I had to loosen the tranny mount then i just used an engine hoist to take the weight off the engine on the mounts. Got them out with a bit of work, thanks for the help and advice its nice to be able to rip again... even brake burns now!
