I do believe the transmissions are not interchangeable [:@].
I don't know what year they made the swap, but at some point they swapped from 4XRH to 4XRE. (Where "4" is the # of forward gears, "X" is the strength of the transmission [2 on the V-6, 6 on the V-8], "R" is for rear wheel drive, "H" is hydraullic, "E" is electronic.) So, the actual model of transmission is important as well.

I tried to reply to this yesterday, but something went wrong. I just notice now that it didn't post.
Any way, since the V6 still has the tranny on it, I could just use the flex plate from that on the V8 setup? Sounds like your saying that is the only difference is the flex plate? Then I just need to find the post I saw someware about how to make the TCC and OD work. I read it the other day about how to use a couple of switches or something to make it work normaly.
