Default 1995 Dakota 4cyl timing?

I just bought this truck yesterday, just to run around in to keep the miles off the other truck. I did a full tune-up. But I would like to check the timing and would like to know if anything needs to be unhooked or jumped so I can get the base timing. And also what a good degree to set it at. I appreciate the input.

I'm not too sure. I know on my 2.2l chrysler engines, the book said to unplug the temp sensor. Seeing as they are about exactly the same as the 2.5, I would think it would be the same deal. They are the same engines...just the 2.5 has a different oil pickup and a longer stroke.

Hope this helps.

my shadow has a 2.2 and they said the timing should be 12 degrees...but since its a truck i'm not sure if they advanced the timing or not.
