i have an 88 3.9L V6 with a loose vacuum hose, ive looked all around but cant seem o find were it goes. i have pictures and have looked on the diagram on the hood of the truck, but have no idea how to read it. can sumeone help plz? if those pcitures dont help, i can take more.

OK, I see the "loose" and, but there does the other end lead to?
More pictures would help, the vacuum lines on those older trucks are crazy.

 

it comes off the other side of the hose in picture 2. there is a cover on one end, the main hose, and then there is the loose hose, and they are located on the backside of the top of the motor. its hard to get pictures but if i can ill take some more tommrow.

 

look at the under side of your air cleaner I think you'll find the nipple that hose goes to..

 

Both of the hoses that go under the air cleaner are hooked up, they connect at the front side by side, but the one that is loose wouldnt reach to the holes anyway. im thinkin there was some kind of filter or sumthing on the end

sumone at the end mentions a vaccum hose that goes the the transmission, and now im thinking that loose hose goes to it, because i removed and installed the transmission a couple weeks ago, but does anyone have any idea were the hose would go on the transmission or, because its possible i misplaced the other end that goes to the transmission.
