whats the standard thermostat temp for an 89 with 3.9 engine. mine must be stuck, not getting heat all of a sudden. whats the max recomended as my truck is a convertible that doesnt warm up as much as a hard top

the thermostat should be a 190. and maybe you should reverse flush your heater core. just take both hoses off going to your heatercore and put a garden hose in the return line to clean it out if there is anything clogged.
