I pulled the gas tank out of my 89 dakota to change the fuel pump. I didnt know what to expect when i opened it up and upon pulling it out it managed to come apart in a few place's [&:] , would like to know if a diagram or pics of the inner workings of the tank are available?

If you are buying your parts from the dealer it probily doesn't matter.They will probily only sell you a complete assenbly.

 

the resevoir came off and a black clip it looks like thealum. line goes into the bottom of the resevoir. i am not planning to buy the whole thing just the pump and filter.

 

it should be easy enough to put back together then, aslong as you didnt break anything major. when I took my fuel pump out I broke the clamp that holds it on, so I just put acouple gear clamps attatched together to hold it on.
