Default Power Steering

1990 V6. Any way to flush out the power steering fluid? Power steering cuts in and out there is fluid in there but would like to try and flush it and replace with new fluid.

No noise or leak. I guess i will replace the pump and hope that is it and not the steering rod unit.

I doubt your rack and pinion would cause that. I replaced my rack and then my pump went. so I put a used pump on it off of one of my other vehicles, it will sometimes get stiff when turning right. but if I rev it up abit it will be fine.

my pump was a pita to do since I just got done replacing the rack and found out the pump was blown too.[:@]also I had to switch pullies since the dak needs the one with the holes in it. it took me about 2 hours to do the pump cause of that stupid pully. either then that it was pretty easy.

Changed the pump no help. I had let someone use my truck and the turning radius on the 90 is not much and I think they were turning right and peged it hard to make the turn and something happened in the rack & Pinion. Not sure what to do now!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to try some snake oil that Lucas has.
