RE: light ring around ignition switch?
Under the hood INT. LAMP is a relay but there is a 5 amp fuse that is called ign something that in the owners manual says it controls the courtesy lamps. It was blown and I replaced it and it all works now. I will attempt to attach a picture, where my finger is pointing is the one I replaced.

RE: light ring around ignition switch?
I'm typing around my ignition switch now, cuz my ign.sys.fuse underhood blows. Not like sux, but like burns out. Anyway, the Ig sw. is held in by 3 tamperproof torx 20 screws, the 2 connectors pop off, and it's in your hand. Assuming you've taken off the shroud top & bottom, which also entails removing the tilt handle IA.(if applicable)...Clear ring pops off, white ring comes with it, clear bulb in a green plastic lens. I don't think any color changes goin' on. Maybe can remove lens, dunno if #37 bulb avail in color. But anyway, there ya go.

Question?
Mine works.
It gets its power from the time delay relay (located on the fuse block), and is energized anytime: one of the doors are opened, or anytime the headlamp switch is put in the "dome light on" position (**** turned all the way to the left).
The courtesy light (located in the passenger side foot area) is also provided power from the time delay relay under the same circumstances.
