Default Starting Prob

Ok so Today i was messing with the radio and i went to go and start the truck but it wont start. tryed it with the brake on nothing. Then i decided to put it i Nutral and it started just find, any ideas of why its doing this?

i have this problem once and a while with my 94 but if i push up on the gear selector it will start it is because the neutral switch is not making a good connection, i am not real technical but i am sure thats why its doing it.

yah that makes sense b/c when i put it back in Park i forced it way the hell up there and ive have no probs since then, and ive taken it outta park and put it back and it seems to work fine now

Danny is probably right there neutral switch is getting worn

ya my neutral safety switch is worn out. I would always have to either jam it up into park or put it down to neutral. but now since I put a push button switch to my starter, no more problems

neutral switch is on the trans...the price at autozone 8.99 theres a tutorial here

Wow that doesnt tell you much at all, just the basics, Unplug old one plug in new one. Were exactully on the trans is it? is it easy to get 2?
