Vibration While Braking
I have a 1992 Dakota LE Ext. Cab 4x4. V-8 automatic. Whenever I use my brakes to slow the truck down, there is a moderate to severe vibration coming from the front end. Here is what I've replaced so far...
Inner and Outer Tie Rods, both sides.
Pitman and Idler Arm.
Wheel Hub Assemblies, both sides.
Rotors, Calipers, Pads, Brake Booster and Master Cylinder.
Had the Rotors turned thinking they may have been warped to begin with.
Had an Alignment Done.
New Tires, size 31x10.50, balanced and rechecked for balance.
Did the TorsionBar lift to gain 1 3/4 inches in front
Greased everything to spec.
Bled The Brake System several times, using specified fluid.
Reset the Hydraulic System Control Valve in accordance with my Haynes Manual.
The symptons start out minor in the morning, but as the truck warms up, the symptoms begin to escalade to the point of scaring me. This started about 6 weeks ago, and I began replacing the parts listed above, one by one, with no change at all. It doesn't matter if I have any weight in the back of the truck or not. It does it in both 2WD and 4WD. As a side note, I also replaced the rear brake drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, and assembly kit (springs etc.). While braking, there is no pull to one side or the other, the truck goes straight. No lock-ups, no squeeling, no unusual sounds. Just a vigorious shutter in the front end.
Could someone shine some light on this for me. I'm at a loss. Any help would be greatly appritiated!!!
