Default Tightening the 6x9" mirrors...

For anyone whos mirrors are like mine were and fold in on themselves at highway speeds, here is how to tighten them:

1) Remove the interior door panel (2 phillips head screws and a dozen or so clips)
2) Remove the mirror (3 10mm nuts)
3) Unscrew the black plastic trim peice from the mirror with these 3 screws...

4) Move the trim piece out of the way and tighten these 2 bolts until they feel good and tight...

5) Reassemble.

Make sure you don't get them too tight or you'll end up like me using a pipe wrench to adjust them, lol.

Lol, yes, thats a very good tip. I don't need a pipe wrench, but I sure have to put some weight into them to move them now!!

Hi there, Ive a 1992 Dakota Club Cab LE, V6

Mine just got broken, I tried the atach the control for the mirror, and it got broken, it continued trying to fold the mirror and didnt turned off, I just unpluged the battery and Open the panel, unpluged the control, but now I dont have electric mirrors.
Im very sad, since I inmeditatly went to Autozone, And those morons dont have the control for my mirror, dont know what to do, or what to change. Ive opened the control, and its very similar to a game pad, I wonder if theres any other kind of control that I can use on it.

Thnx in advance

Your best bet is go to a junkyard and get another. You can also try going to your local dodge dealership and buy one. Or check www.ebay.com or craigslist.org

Shipping in mexico and canada is not that bad. Email the seller and ask him how much and all.
