Transmission swap

Does anyone know if a auto trans from a 2002 dakota with v-6 will interchange with a 1999 durango with the 5.2 v-8?

i know that the interior was update in 2001, but not sure about the trany. My best guess would be yes, they're interchangable, as long as they have the same bolt pattern.
