Hi! I am new to the group and happened upon it during a search while I was trying to figure out what is going on with my Durango....

Here are the issues.....Usually all the below happens at the same moment....

Headlights: they are eitherdimming to half power or going out while I am driving(can't take it anywhere are dark)! I have to dissconnect the battery when I get somewhere or they saty on even if The key is out and switch is off.....

Taillights: they go out completely!

4WD: the light comes on and stays on...

Interior door locks: Cannot use them when this happens

Interior lights: Most of them seem to not work like the speed cannot be seen but the radio and outside temp lights work fine....

If anyone has any knowledge of this problem let me know it worked fine before I just can't figure it out....My dealer put in a new battery but I think it was too small and am going to upgrade to the size it is suppose to have because the other dealership told me it sounds like my battery is too small ....I dunno has anyone ever heard of that?

Central Timing Module I'd say. Have the dealer look at that.

Usually lighting and locks are affect but also things like wipers, dome light, even the horn reportedly and the radio. Nevertheless, have them check it out. If it needs replaced, you are looking at ~$450 installed. No way to do it yourself because it gets programed to match your D. Take both of your remotes in with you whereas they will need to be programmed too.

Hope its something else and easier and not the CTM for your wallet.

Thanks...that had been a thought i had about it...but was really hoping for something i could fix myself before giving more money to the dealer. i have just finally replaced the battery this morning with the correct size and power......i talke dto a dealer out here that said he has talked to people with the same symptoms and it turned out to be the battery issue. he said to give it 48 hours to let the truck reset itself to all teh propper settings. so , i ll let you know if does it. im guessing at somepoint someone else will ask the same thing lol
