OK, KENSAI I need your help again. I already had to swap my BMR once before and I think it went out again but I need to make sure first. Last time I got the typical signs as before, the blower would only push out air when it was on high and that was all. Now I am getting a little different story. The AC works on all the settings BUT high. Also, sometimes, when you go to turn OFF the AC, the AC light will stay lit even when it is in the off position and the fan will continue to run because the D thinks the AC is on. I have to press the AC button and it will turn off. Any ideas or is it the BMR for sure???

Well for the price I would take a stab at it R/T. That or maybe the actual switch is crapping out on you a buddy of mine has had every one of his ac controls go out on every car he has owned. [:'(]

 

I kind of wonder if the motor is starting to go. I'm kinda thinking that you should replace both the resister (first) then maybe the motor.

Well I am going to pick up the resistor today but probably wont get to it until tomorrow. It is only the second time but nonetheless 2 times too many. Thanks anyways guys....

 

ok well if thats all the problems youve had w/ the truck and you dont like replacing bmrs then give the truck to me and buy yourself something else

 

Oh you are sadly mistaken... I will replace a BMR any day over a blower motor! Besides, I bet you would wet yourself and soil the seats if you ever got a chance with an R/T 5.9 compared to your V-6! J/K

 

no ive driven a 5/9 b4 and man was it fast compared to my 3.9, but not a whole lot faster than my moms d w/ the 4.7, or at least in the time i drove it, it didnt seem that much faster, but yea i would love to have an r/t, but my parents wont let my buy one at least not till im out of college and they cannot say anything anymore

 

Shoot, well you must not have driven it with the right touch cuz a 5.9 D will smoke a 4.7 all day. I dunno to each his own.....

 

o i never said that it wouldnt bc yea the 5.9 would destroy the 4.7, but the 5.9 is only what 15 hp more than the 4.7, the 5.9 is 245hp right? the 4.7 is 230, really not that much of a hp gain and when i drove it it was only once and was unfortunately in traffic for most of the time

 

Alas my friend, please don't be one of those fools who scrolls to the bold print to find HP and HP alone. Just for ****s and giggles, do yourself a favor and check out the torque specs on these two units and get back to me then.....
