Torsion bar lift????

RE: Torsion bar lift????
I'm not sure what the tuff country lift does with your front suspension, but if you want to crank the tbars, just look for the bars running front to back along the sides of the vehicle. At the rear there is a large bolt that you turn clockwise for lift. One turn = 1/4 inch of lift. There should be about 8 turns available for a total of 2 inches of lift before you max out the bolt and it won't go any farthur. On a sidenote, I hope you've done some work to the front driveline because if you wheel it hard at all with 37's the IFS isn't going to like it. The general rule of thumb is 33" tires and any bigger require a beefier front axle, or a solid axle swap. Hope this helps...

Oh my bad. I had heard that the bolt simply stops moving after 8 turns, but if it doesn't I guess you just have to be careful to not go too far. Mark the bolt with a permanent marker or something like white-out so you can count the revolutions. I don't think I put 8 turns on mine, maybe 6 or 7 was enough for me. We decided not to jack the vehicle up to do the work so it was a workout turning those bolts-not sure I would advise doing it while it's on the ground like that...

You should be fine with 2" and I wouldn't go beyond that anyway, you can start breaking parts if you go any higher from the extra stress of being lifted. If you haven't had an alignment in a while you should get one done anyway. It's cheap and if you go too firestone you can buy lifetime alignments for $150 or so.
