Default RE: Oil pressure

I decidedto take it to my mechanic...who gave me the goods news that my engine is blown!
He said the engine looks like it has been beat on. Can negligance to the engine wear on it and cause to blow over time? Remember it started out as no oil pressure. I didnt drive it at all after I saw no pressure. I've only had it 1 month and want tohit him with the Lemon Law.
Thanks anyway for all your help.

I could be wrong, But I wouldn't think an engine would run period if it was blown.

How well do you know this mechanic?

dont know your mileage but that can kill an engine cause there no upper lube. some flush it.that could clear the pump screen which may be clogged or just put a new pump in . are you going to keep it? i am keeping my dakota (after $8000 in repairs . I like my cap and the 4 wheel drive. All my parts are brand new.

Update: The DD is at the Dealer (didnt have much choice), they think its the bearings. Can these be replaced and alls good again?
I know its alot of labor. I think as soon as it gets fixed, Im tradin it in. I love it, but I'm notup for taking any chances. It was a nice 30days...shortest time I've ever owned a car. If this is something that has been going on for some time and the seller knew it, he may be getting a phone call.......
