Something Funny with the Windows
Today, I got in my '98 D, rolled down the driver's side window and went and got gas, then got a sub from Subway...when I got home and went to roll up the driver's side window...it wouldn't roll up. None of the controls are working on the driver's side- not even for the powerlocks. The lock control on the passenger side works and locks all the doors like it's supposed to but not the window control, also none of the other door's window controls work either.
If it was just a power window fuse, why would the lock button on the driver's side not work? Also, I bought a replacement for the fuse at autozone (piece of crap replacement) and it didn't do any good. Then when I went to pull the replacement fuse out, it broke so I put the old one back in.
Anyone have any ideas what's going wrong? No mechanics open today (Memorial Day) to fix...P.S. -- the key fob works for locking / unlockingn the doors.

RE: Something Funny with the Windows
can't say what the reason for the power locks could be - but the window regulator failing due to worn motor brushes is a well known D glitch. Replace regulator either new or from scrap yard or strip and replace brushes if you want it done on the cheap...good luck...!!
