I have a 2003 Durango, I think it is the 4.7 engine and for the past few weeks when I get in the vehicle and try to start it everything comes on, lights, radio, etc but no engine. there is no clicking or try to start noises. if I wait a few minutes and mess with the steering wheel and gearshift, it then will start and runs just fine. and of course this only happens when I try to start it and has never happened to my husband or for the mechanics.

any ideas on what's going on?

Try and put the shifter in neutral and see if it starts that may tell you if you are not getting it all the way into park or if your shifter linkage needs adjusted
