Default Question about my moms D...

Ok, so she is over 100K and needs to have a tune up...

She is having a misfire on one of her cylinders, and needs new plugs....the dealership told her it would be 97 dollars for plugs and labor... I think I can go buy her AutoLite 5822 plugs (I think those are it) and just have it done myself...

What else is needed to be done at a tune up on the 4.7L D?

There are no plug wires...correct?

Just give me some help... one place told her there were no wires, the other said there were.... I opened uip the hood and saw no wires.... so I dont know what the heck I need to do for her vehicle...

ALSO.........

Her D is revving high when she goes from D - P and it idles high when she gets to stop signs.... we got a new throttle positioning sensor, and that solved the problem.. temporarily... I think this is due to the misfire on her engine...

What's the general concensus on this issue??

Thanks for the help!!!

You want autolite 3923's if you don't do champions Frenchy. What size engine do you have in your Dak??? Isn't it the 4.7 or did you go with a v6???

I have AutoLite 3923's in my truck as well... I just wasn't sure if I could use those in hers also.
